A war memorial on Vogelsang’s village green commemorates 42 soldiers who fell in the First World War. During restoration, a plaque bearing the names of 71 people who fell in the Second World War was added. The war memorial in Vogelsang is considered worth seeing. The dedication and the additional name plaque connect the act of remembrance on the village green with both world wars.

Vogelsang is also home to a Soviet honorary cemetery commemorating the fighting in early 1945. An obelisk marks a mass grave of Soviet soldiers in the Vogelsang cemetery. The Vogelsang war cemetery is located on Buchwaldweg, 15890 Vogelsang.

Lowland, Birdwatching, and Nature

The nearby Ziltendorf Lowland is designated as a birdwatching area. Small streams and ditches cross the plain, which is characterized by numerous meadows and fields.
