Church and Georgiritt
The Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. George is dedicated to Saint George and stands on a hill in the village of Surberg. Its location and dedication make it a clear local landmark: it should not be confused with Ettendorf Church, which is the destination of the Georgiritt.
The Georgiritt has made its annual journey to Ettendorf Church on Easter Monday since 1891. There, horses and riders are solemnly blessed.
