Goldsteig and the Pond Landscape
The Goldsteig quality hiking trail runs for about 18 kilometres through the municipality of Wiesenfelden. Along the way, it crosses the 110-metre-long nature observation boardwalk over the Beckenweiher. The trail also passes the “Brandmoos” and “Weiherlandschaft bei Wiesenfelden” nature reserves on its way to Wiesenfelden. The 8-kilometre Höhenberger trail is also moderately difficult. Its starting points are in Wiesenfelden at the car park on Falkensteiner Straße and in Höhenberg by the Dirrigl inn.
The moderately difficult connecting trail to Falkenstein offers routes of 5, 11 or 17 kilometres. The starting point in Wiesenfelden is at Neuweiher. When choosing between these trails, you can take into account their stated length, difficulty level and starting point. The municipality also describes the toboggan run on Falkensteiner Straße as particularly suitable for sledging.
