Hiking trails with their own distinctive themes

The VT 5 circular hiking trail goes around the quarry southwest of Viereth. It starts on Froschgasse at the foot of Weiherer Berg and heads towards Tütschengereuth. Along the way, a signposted detour via Lange Wies’n to Zigeunerbrünnlein is possible; the spring is about 600 metres away. This route connects the quarry surroundings with a clearly named destination for the detour. The VT 1 trail between Trunstadt and Roßstadt focuses on field and forest paths, as well as the mixed forest in Eichenrangen. VT 3 runs between Viereth and Stückbrunn, following the Viehbach towards Hohe Mühle. A signposted path leads through the Wolfskehln and Hauholz woodland; along the way, there is a quiet shelter and several places to rest. The VT 6 panoramic hike passes all the districts of the municipality of Viereth-Trunstadt and offers views of the Main Valley and the surrounding villages. The Way of Human Rights is a place of local history and a themed attraction. It starts at the town hall in Viereth and first leads to St. James’ Parish Church. At 30 stops, the trail presents the articles of human rights, in some cases in abridged form. It is offered to school classes and families; guided tours can be requested from the municipality. Starting at the town hall and stopping first at the parish church gives the trail a clear connection to the village.

The Heldenhain in Trunstadt also tells a story of local history. The grounds were laid out in 1937 under district building officer Peter Rothmund, who was from Trunstadt.
