History
The present-day municipality of Lauchringen was created in 1971 through the merger of Oberlauchringen and Unterlauchringen.

Unterlauchringen developed as a settlement next to the medieval mill near Wutach-Lauffen, which was connected to the former textile works of Lauffenmühle.
