The eight hiking trails offer different perspectives on the landscape of meadows, forests and valleys. The Bettelmannskeller Cave and the former Fürstenstein Castle are among the destinations highlighted for hikes in Rietheim-Weilheim. Fürstenstein is noted for its wonderful view of the valley. It was consecrated in 1856 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Weilheim parish. This historic connection gives the chapel a distinctive local story; its invitation to reflect also offers a different focus from outdoor activities in the landscape.
The Sylvester Chapel also tells a story of change over time: it was built around the year 1000, later fell into disrepair and was demolished in 1835. Its tower remained standing. At Rietheim Castle, the Wiederhold coat of arms on the portal recalls the history of this historic building. In Weilheim, the Historic Town Hall was renovated in 2009 in keeping with its heritage status to preserve the historic building. The Altrietheim Ruin is a castle ruin within the municipal area of Rietheim-Weilheim; it adds another historic building to these points of interest.

The fire-water pond in Rietheim is a large pond with an ecological zone and a recreational area. Together with the renaturalized Faulenbach stream and the plateau on the Rußberg, it showcases different landscape features within Rietheim-Weilheim: water, a stream and open terrain.
