Walking at Neuweiher

The W1 hike is a 2.4 km circular trail. It follows well-maintained field, forest and meadow paths and has only a few gentle climbs. Along the way, you pass Neuweiher and meadows and fields where fruit and wine are grown. The route therefore brings together a range of landscapes on a manageable loop, without requiring you to plan a longer hike.

Neuweiher is also addressed in the municipality’s mission statement: plans call for it to be drained regularly to monitor water quality and fish stocks, safeguard the diversity of animal and plant life, and protect the FFH sites around the pond. The chapel and art history

St. Martin’s Chapel was first dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours on 20 June 1508. Its frescoes date from the 15th and 16th centuries and are attributed to the Late Gothic and Renaissance periods. They are considered unique in the Lake Constance region. The chapel also houses a wooden Gothic Pietà from the 14th century. The frescoes and the Pietà offer distinct historical perspectives: wall paintings from two periods stand alongside an older wooden sculpture.

Leisure activities at the Schützenhaus
