The present-day Protestant town church also tells a story of an earlier era: it was built between 1424 and 1428 and was once dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Brief texts present aspects of his life and work; Schubart lived in Geislingen an der Steige for six years.
A walk from the old town to a castle ruin leads into the Middle Ages and brings the historical events of that era to life.
