Choose your cycling route and scenery

The Eastern Schurwald Route is a cycling route of around 50 kilometres across the ridge of the Schurwald. It follows the Kaisersträßle, can be cycled in either direction and is considered suitable for families. It starts and ends at Uhingen railway station. Its length makes it easy to plan the route as a main focus for the day; its two possible directions give you a choice of orientation. If you prefer a fixed starting and ending point, you will find it at the railway station.

Beyond this cycling route, the hills of the Voralb area also invite you to hike, cycle, explore and enjoy the scenery. Schloss Filseck stands on a prominent hill on the southern edge of the Filstal valley in the district of Uhingen and is regarded as a cultural and gastronomic attraction in the district of Göppingen. Another glimpse into local history takes us back to 1911: in May, 27-year-old Adolf Bosch senior opened a confectionery shop with a café and colonial goods store in Uhingen, right by the railway station and post office. This is distinct from the present-day tourist connection between Confiserie Bosch and Wibele production: the Uhingen confectionery is known for it.
