Culture and History

Sulzburg is a small town in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district in southwestern Baden-Württemberg.

In 1515, Sulzburg became the residence of the Margraves of Baden when a castle was built there.

From 1599 to 1604, Sulzburg was once again the residential town of part of Baden-Durlach.

The Baden-Württemberg State Mining Museum was opened in Sulzburg's former town church in 1982.
