Charentay is one of six municipalities involved in the tourist Mont-Brouilly project for the Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly appellation area. The visitor project on Mont Brouilly includes a geoscope, two discovery trails of 1.5 and 3 kilometres, a viewpoint at the chapel, and the Clos Vitis with its trail.

Culture
The Château d'Arginy is a historic building in Charentay. Its significant construction phases date from the late 12th century, the late 15th century and the early 16th century. The façades and roofs of the Château d'Arginy, as well as the outbuildings and moats, are partially protected as historic monuments.
The main building of the Château de Sermezy was constructed in 1776 and is an example of the local architecture of representative country estates. Since 25 October 1988, the façades and roofs of the Château de Sermezy, as well as the large salon, billiard room, library and the room on the first floor located north of the main staircase on the west façade, have been partially protected as historic monuments.
The choir of the Church of Saint Martin in Charentay contains a polychrome wooden statue of Saint Martin. The statue dates from the mid-19th century and is protected as movable cultural property.
The Chapelle Saint-Pierre in Charentay is a religious building constructed in the Middle Ages.

The Château de la Brasse offers wine tastings by appointment. The Domaine du Château de la Valette offers guided tours of the vineyards and wine cellar by appointment.
The Tour de la Belle-Mère is a 35-metre-high landmark built in the 19th century in the Beaujolais landscape. The experience at the tower includes a wine tasting and a guided tasting with a mâchon made from regional products.
Trails
A hiking loop of just under six kilometres begins in Charentay and leads around the Château de Sermezy.
