Chaponnay: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Chaponnay, the Église Saint-Barthélémy was completely renovated after almost 18 months of work. The restoration included the statues, Stations of the Cross, chapels, and stained-glass windows. An entrance area allows visitors to see the interior even when the church is closed.
Anyone planning a trip to Chaponnay may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Nature
The Zone humide de la Sauzaye covers 47 hectares. Within it, 22 hectares of agricultural land are preserved. The Sauzaye wetland has footpaths and observation areas.
The Parc municipal contains more than 200 trees across just under 4.5 hectares. The park is used for Chaponnay’s major cultural events and is freely accessible every day throughout the year.
Culture
Chaponnay offers a municipal cultural program for the 2025/2026 season. Tickets for the cultural season can be purchased on the evening of the performance, provided seats are still available.
La Découverte offers creative workshops, including mosaic-making, weaving and braiding, as well as basket-making with wild materials. La Découverte also organizes guided heritage tours in Chaponnay and the surrounding area throughout the year.
The Foire de Chaponnay takes place in the town center on Whit Monday.
