La Terrasse: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

History
The oldest part of Château du Carre may date back to the 13th century. In the 17th century, a second building with mullioned windows on the valley side was attached to the first at a right angle. La Terrasse’s architectural heritage also includes a former thermal institute dating from 1894 to 1935.
The Church of Saint Aupre was built in the 7th century on an ancient site. A funerary inscription from the year 522, as well as sarcophagi from the 8th and 9th centuries, were found in its foundations. The magnaneries of La Terrasse were used to raise silkworms, the caterpillars of the butterfly Bombyx Mori. The Chapelle du Carre was completed in 1883 after the residents of the hamlet had carried out the work.

The Base de Loisirs Intercommunale de la Terrasse offers inflatable recreational facilities on the lake, such as Aquafun, Blob Jumping and Aqua Bim Bim.
