Nature
The Plateau des Lacs des Petites Rousses is a classified natural area at an altitude of 2,000 m, with five lakes separated by wet meadows and rocks smoothed by glaciers. From Oz 3300, the plateau can be reached by the Alpette or Poutran gondola lifts.
The Pic Blanc can be reached by mountain lifts from Oz 3300 and offers a 360° panorama at an altitude of 3,330 m, overlooking major Alpine groups such as Écrins, Grandes Rousses, Belledonne and Mont-Blanc.

Winter Sports
The Front de Neige beginners’ area in Oz 3300 has two green runs, a gently sloping snow area and a free conveyor belt for first descents. From Oz-en-Oisans, the cross-country ski trails at an altitude of 2,100 m can be reached by gondola; these include the 20 km Circuit des lacs and the 10 km Boucle de Poutran.
The ski tour through the Grandes Rousses massif covers three passes, five glaciers and more than 2,000 metres of descent. Oz 3300 is a pedestrian ski resort where you can ski from the slopes right to your accommodation.
Activities
The Lac Besson climbing area offers a variety of routes on gneiss for climbers from beginner to advanced level, with grades ranging from 3 to 7a. In summer, the climbing area can be reached on foot from Oz 3300 after a short approach. The Salle d’escalade Bernard Fabre climbing hall in Oz 3300 welcomes children and adults all year round.
Oz 3300 offers direct access to the Espace Alpe d’Huez mountain biking area. This mountain biking area comprises 35 signposted routes for downhill, enduro and cross-country riding.
The Eau d’Olle Express connects Allemond with Oz 3300 in eight minutes; from there, the mountain lifts enable onward travel to Alpe d’Huez, Vaujany, Villard-Reculas and Auris-en-Oisans. The parking area du Robérand, marked “Canyon”, is indicated on the bend on the way up to the Oz resort as an access point for canyoning.
Culture and History
The “Découverte patrimoine” orienteering course in the village of Oz starts at Place de la Mairie and provides insights into the history and surroundings of the village. Oz has five permanent orienteering courses that are open to everyone.
The route to Cascade du Roubier follows a paved Roman road and leads to the entrances of former coal mines.
