At the “Tombeaux antiques” site between the old village and the hamlet of Flachères are the remains of a quarry where Carolingian sarcophagus stones were extracted.
The terraces of Barèze are a 32-hectare cultural heritage site. They were created by hand more than 120 years ago, are located in the Parc des monts d’Ardèche and overlook the Veyras plains.
The Association de Danses et Musiques Traditionnelles de Veyras offers lessons in traditional songs from Ardèche or Provence in French or Occitan. Its members meet weekly on Thursdays in the former village hall of Veyras and learn traditional dances such as Scottish, bourrée, mazurka and circle dances under the guidance of a qualified teacher. Two free trial lessons are offered to anyone interested before registering.
Nature and trails
The “Veyras – Tour des hameaux” circular trail is an easy 7.7-kilometre loop with a walking time of approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. The route passes old agricultural terraces, allowing visitors to experience them as part of the local cultural heritage.
The “Veyras – Les sources du Charalon” circular trail is a very easy 1.1-kilometre loop with a walking time of approximately 30 minutes. The Charalon stream rises in a large wetland area, which can be explored along this route.

The La Bòria restaurant in Veyras bases its cuisine on local and seasonal produce.
Geographical location
The “Veyras Le Ruissol” bus stop is located near the restaurant and is served by route 73, which connects Aubenas, Privas and Valence.
