Culture and history

The Église de Saint-Just combines a Latin cross-shaped floor plan with a dome above the transept. The Pont Cassé is the surviving arch of a bridge destroyed by the 1846 flood and is a reminder of flooding on the Ardèche.

The Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Salette was built in the Neo-Gothic style in the 19th century. It houses a statue reproducing the image venerated at the original site of the apparition. Around the village of Saint-Just-d'Ardèche, around three fortification towers are still visible.

The Musée d’Art Moderne is a private collection created by the artist Jean Mathon, featuring paintings, sculptures and assemblages.

The Route Champs et Vergers de Saint-Just-d'Ardèche is an easy, 13.4-kilometre family loop that starts and ends at Place du Barry. It leads to the Lône de Malatras, a former channel of the Rhône where fish, birds and rodents find shelter.
