Saint Agreve: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Saint-Agrève lies at an altitude of more than 1,000 metres in the heart of the Ardèche Plateau. The plateau is a gently undulating rural upland landscape where basalt columns can be observed. The watershed between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic runs west of Saint-Agrève; from Mont Chiniac, it is illustrated by an interpretive landscape installation.
Nature
On the return journey, the Les Ribes route offers a remarkable view of Mont Chiniac and the panorama of the Cévennes. At the highest point of the old town stands an orientation table erected in 1953. From there, views extend across the plateau and the Cévennes to Mont-Gerbier-de-Jonc, Mont Mézenc, the Sucs du Velay and the distant Alps.
Anyone considering Saint-Agrève as a destination can also plan to rent a holiday apartment.

The Chemin de Saint-Régis, classified as GR®430, includes a 17-kilometre out-and-back section on the Saint-Agrève plateau. Boucle Sud No. 34 is a challenging 16-kilometre route with 330 metres of elevation gain. It leads through forests, along streams and across meadows on the Saint-Agrève plateau.
The Sentier patrimoine du Pouzat is a family-friendly, 5-kilometre hike through deciduous and fir forests along the panoramic Serre de la Faye ridge. The trail conveys Pouzat’s historical and religious heritage. Along the route, L'apprenti traileur – Trail N°1 takes hikers to Mont Chiniac, where they discover a small chapel and the route of the tourist train Le Velay Express.
