Larnas is located on the Dent de Rez plateau, which reaches an elevation of 719 metres. In the northern part of the municipality is the Nègue, a small Mediterranean watercourse. Most of the Larnas municipal area is covered by forests and garrigue.

Culture
The Église Saint-Pierre in Larnas is a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century and features an elegant dome on squinches. It is open daily all year round. If the door is locked, the keys can be collected from the tourist office during opening hours.

Dent de Rez is a remarkable natural area designated as a Natura 2000 site and protected by a prefectural order for the protection of a biotope; Larnas is one of the municipalities associated with it.

Behind Larnas town hall, at 1414 Route de Saint-Remèze, there are a car park and a bicycle service station. Larnas is one of six villages from which the “À vélo par Vignes et Vallons” cycle route can be started. The “Autour de Larnas” route offers views of the lavender plateau, Dent de Rez, and wooded valleys and ridges.
Events
The market Le marché du plateau takes place every Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as a joint initiative of the four municipalities of Saint-Remèze, Larnas, Gras and Bidon. Near the hamlet of Valgayette, almost 2,500 iris varieties are cultivated at Bernard Laporte’s Iriseraie, flowering in May. The Jazz sur un Plateau hiking festival in southern Ardèche combines jazz, soul, blues and funk at historic venues.
