A short hike to the Suc de Montivernoux leads from Lachamp-Raphaël to its summit and involves a relatively easy ascent. The summit reaches an elevation of 1,441 meters and offers views of the Chaîne des Sucs and the Boutières. The “Alice et le triangle de la burle” interpretation trail is also located at the Suc de Montivernoux.

Hiking
For the hike to the Suc de Montivernoux, there is a parking area directly behind the turnoff, behind the Cabane de la montagne Ardéchoise in Lachamp-Raphaël.
Culture
The remains of the Château de Raphaël are located on the summit of the volcanic rocky outcrop Rocher de Raphaël, at an elevation of 1,307 meters. The Rocher de Raphaël towers over the entire Dorne Valley and the Lachamp Plateau; from there, expansive views extend in all four directions.
The site of the Rocher de Raphaël was able to control a medieval route that led from the Rhône Valley and Le Pouzin via Privas and Mézilhac to Le Puy. Several hamlets in Lachamp-Raphaël preserve houses with roofs made of phonolite slate; there are also still some roofs made of broom.
Nature
The Bois de Cuze is a plateau covering more than 500 hectares at an elevation of over 1,000 meters. Its central part is a wet depression with grazed or mown meadows and wetlands near La Narce.
The Bois de Cuze contains old forests, especially fir and beech forests, as well as small streams. They connect the various habitats and feed the Besorgue, Bourges, and Volane rivers. The wetlands include numerous raised bogs, transitional bogs, and other habitats. At least 100 species of vascular plants have been recorded in the Bois de Cuze.
In addition, 13 dragonfly species have been recorded there, including species from both flowing and standing waters.
