Lac de Saint-Martial is an artificial lake in the crater of a former volcano. Today’s Lac de Saint-Martial was filled with water in 1974 after a dam was built above Moulinou.

Nature
Saint-Martial is one of the municipalities within the Natura 2000 and ENS area of Sucs Gerbier-Mézenc. The 950-metre-high volcanic peak of Suc de Lestrat offers beautiful views of the Sucs and the lake. Lestrat is a mountain in the vicinity of Saint-Martial. Hiking
