Cabrières D\'aigues: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Sentier géologique de Cabrières-d’Aigues runs through the Réserve naturelle nationale géologique du Luberon. It begins and ends at the Parking de la Place du 8 Mai in Cabrières-d’Aigues. The moderately difficult, 3-hour, 9.4-kilometre circular hike includes 299 metres of elevation gain and descent and is marked as GR®, PR and local PR. The trail also includes a Four à chaux, a lime kiln that was presumably used for local purposes.

The stele next to the Temple de Cabrières-d’Aigues commemorates the arrival of the Waldensians in the village on 10 March 1495, the massacre of the Waldensians on 16 April 1545 and the honouring of the Waldensians on 29 April 1995. The Église Saint-Laurent dates from the 17th century and has a troglodytic choir. Construction work on the Temple de Cabrières-d’Aigues was approved in 1849.
