Le Vieux-Cannet is designated as a protected site and is considered one of the oldest villages in Provence. The Chapelle Saint-Michel, the church in Vieux-Cannet dedicated to Saint Michael, is classified as a historic monument (Monument historique) and was built in the 11th century.

Nature

Trails and activities
Lac Canneti can be reached from the centre of Le Cannet-des-Maures via the green route La Boudrague. This route is an easy hiking trail open to everyone and can be used on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. Lac Canneti, formerly known as “étang Colbert”, is one of the major black bass fishing spots in the Var.
Le Luc et Le Cannet station is served by the Marseille–Toulon–Les Arcs–Draguignan TER line.
Local life
The Provençal market takes place every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Place de la Gare. La Cannetoise takes place every year in May on Ascension Thursday.
