Culture and History
The large Plage du Dramont, also known as Plage du Débarquement, was one of the Allies' most important landing sites in Provence on 15 August 1944. More than 20,000 GIs from the Texas-based 36th US Division landed there with armoured vehicles and heavy artillery.
