Vallouise: holiday apartments and houses

The route La Balade du pêcheur follows a path along the Gyr on the outward journey and a balcony path above the mountain stream on the return journey. It is a very easy 4-kilometre circular hike that begins in front of Camping Huttopia de Vallouise. Another route, L’Onde et Le Villard, follows the L’Onde river along its left bank as far as the Pont des Places bridge.

Winter

The Vallouise-Pelvoux Nordic area has 35 kilometres of marked cross-country ski trails in four sectors: La Vallouise, L’Onde, Pelvoux and Les Vigneaux. It is suitable for classic cross-country skiing and skating. At the entrance to the village, the Vallouise sector has playful loops suitable for beginners.

Nature

Tête d'Amont is located in the immediate vicinity of Vallouise. Cime de la Condamine, Pointe du Rascrouset and Pointe de Celse Nière are also nearby. Écrins National Park is likewise located near Vallouise.

Culture

The Church of Saint-Étienne in Vallouise is protected as a historic monument. Its bell tower is 45 metres high. The church's furnishings include a gilded wooden altar dating from the mid-16th century.

The Maison du Parc national has been awarded the “Tourisme et Handicap” label. Fort Queyras and Saint-Michel are located in the wider regional area around Vallouise.
