Le petit tour des Puys starts at the Puy-Saint-André town hall. The walk takes 50 minutes, ascends 150 metres and has no stated difficulty level. The regional nature reserve Réserve Naturelle des Partias is also located in the immediate vicinity of the village.

A longer hiking option is Le ravin des Merles, a 7-kilometre circular hike starting in Puy-Saint-André. The route follows historic paths rising over the heights of Puy-Chalvin before descending towards Pierre Feu. Along the way, you can discover chapels, frescoes, canals, terraces and walls.

Culture and history

The Chapelle Sainte-Lucie dates from the 16th century. Its exterior façade features frescoes depicting the Lamentation; the frescoes on the interior vault depict the life of Jesus in 23 scenes.

The Eglise Saint-André is a church built in the 15th century in the Romanesque-Lombard style. Its nave has four bays and ends in a polygonal apse. The façade of the former presbytery features the Cadran Zarbula de Puy-Saint-André; the building is now called La Kimpina.

Science

The Maison de la Géologie et du Géoparc in Puy-Saint-André is dedicated to scientific tourism. Its outdoor geodrome traces the geological history of the Alps along a path. It also includes an indoor museum with numerous interactive educational activities, as well as a planetarium offering an introduction to astronomy.
