Névache: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Grâces in the hamlet of Plampinet dates from the 15th century and contains well-preserved wall frescoes. Culture
The Saint-Sébastien Church in Plampinet was built in 1510 in the Romanesque style and has been listed as a historic monument since 1991. It preserves 20 fresco panels from the 16th century, depicting the Passion of Christ in chronological order. Visitors can access the church as part of guided tours or by prior reservation.
There are around 30 painted sundials on the façades of houses in the Clarée Valley. Some of them can be viewed between La Vachette and Névache-Ville-Haute.
Activities
The Névache Nordic area offers cross-country ski trails for beginners as well as experienced cross-country skiers; between Plampinet and Névache, it has 45 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails.
The climbing areas around Plampinet offer more than 100 routes with difficulty ratings from 3C to 8A. Behind the village of Plampinet, the Acles Canyon features slides and abseiling sections along cascades.
Nature
Ibex, chamois and marmots live in the Cerces Massif.
Orientation
The Col de l'Échelle lies at an altitude of 1,762 metres, connects the Clarée Valley with Italy and is the route to the Vallée Étroite. In winter, it is used by cross-country skiers.
The Haute vallée de la Clarée has been designated a Natura 2000 site since 2010 and can be reached from Névache without difficulty.
