The Château du Haut-Maulay is located on the Domaine du Haut Maulay estate in Maulay. It is privately owned and was listed as a historic monument by decree dated 25 October 2018.
The Église Saint-Martin is a small Romanesque church from the 10th century, dedicated to Saint Martin. It is 21 metres long and 6 metres wide and ends in a semicircular apse. The choir and the bell tower date from the Romanesque period.

In Maulay, 100.0% of the landscape is classified as belonging to the Région du tuffeau landscape unit. The Forêt de Scévolles is a Type II ZNIEFF and covers 10.2% of the area of the municipality of Maulay.
Things to Do
The Poney Club de la Buissonnière is a riding school in Maulay bearing a Fédération Française d'Equitation label and welcoming riders from the age of three. Its facilities include a floodlit 800 m² indoor riding arena as well as several covered outdoor riding arenas with sand surfaces. The club also offers cross-country routes of varying difficulty and numerous rides in the Forêt de Scévolles.
La Ligne Verte is a signposted route for information and education about the environment and local heritage, which includes Maulay. It is set up for cyclists over 37 kilometres and can also be used on foot or on horseback. The route follows a former railway line connecting Châtellerault and Loudun.
