The Église Saint-Roman du Pui de Beaumont in Saint-Romain-sur-Gironde is believed to date from the 12th and 14th centuries. Only half of the former church remains as a single-nave church. Its foundations and part of the present bell tower are made from reused fragments of sarcophagi; inside, a very old blind door and a remnant of the transept are also visible.
The former school and town hall building formed a remarkable ensemble of civic heritage.
