Kitesurfing takes place on the north beach of Rivedoux-Plage. The south beach of Rivedoux-Plage is suitable for swimming, sailing and jet skiing.

Rivedoux-Plage is the starting point for 110 km of cycle paths. Rivedoux-Plage was the birthplace of modern oyster farming on the Île de Ré and is an important oyster-farming location. On the culinary cycling tour Chemin gourmand du sud de l'île à vélo, cyclists can enjoy oysters at oyster farmers’ premises by the sea.
Culture and history
The Phare de Chauveau lighthouse was built between 1839 and 1842. It is 30.70 m high, of which 27.30 m is above sea level. It is currently not open to the public.
The Redoute de Sablanceaux is a square structure with sides measuring 45 m. It was built in 1674 according to Vauban’s specifications and served to block access to the Sablanceaux peninsula. The grounds of the Redoute de Sablanceaux are freely accessible, but the structure itself is not open for visits.
