Maison dite l'Hôtellerie des Dames has been listed as a historic monument since a decree dated 29 July 1935.

The community of Saint-Paul was founded in the 7th century by Sainte Angadrême. The remains of the abbey gate have been preserved on the surviving grounds of the Abbaye de Saint-Paul. In the past, guided tours of the gardens, dovecote and former vaulted kitchens were offered at the Abbaye de Saint-Paul.
