Culture and History

The Germain-Gaillard Pyramid is the tomb of the former mayor of Fresneaux-Montchevreuil, who held office from 28 May to 14 November 1832.

Mother-of-pearl button manufacturing was carried out in Fresneaux-Montchevreuil in the 19th and 20th centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were five button factories in the village. Many residents, particularly women, worked for these button factories from home.

Landscape

The ornamental gardens of Château de Montchevreuil include a water feature. The Germain-Gaillard Pyramid can be seen on the banks of the Ru du Mesnil; a footpath leads there.
