Culture
Today, only a small part of the Château de Mouy remains. During the Wars of Religion in the 16th century, the château served as a refuge for Protestants in the region; the citadel of the Château de Mouy was captured and recaptured during several conflicts in this turbulent period.
The Pavillon Gréber is an early 20th-century building classified as a historic monument. It was created through the collaboration of architect Fidélie Bordez and ceramicist Charles Gréber. Its design combines Art Nouveau elements, including bay windows, lavish decoration and rounded windows, with features inspired by resort architecture, such as half-timbering and a roof projecting on corbels.
The Prince family had the Théâtre de Mouy built in 1896. After the building was acquired in October 2023, it was renovated with the aim of using it as a multicultural venue; performances and concerts resumed.
