The fortified Saint-Martin Church in Esquéhéries was built between 1570 and 1696 and has four massive corner towers. The Saint-Martin Church of Esquéhéries has been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 22 March 1934.
A path allows visitors to walk around the outside of the fortified Saint-Martin Church. Visiting the outside of the fortified Saint-Martin Church is free of charge; work is currently taking place there. In addition, the Saint-Martin Church of Esquéhéries is a stop on a new walking route featuring fortified churches.

History
Jean-Baptiste André Godin, the founder of the Familistère de Guise, was born in the village of Esquéhéries on 26 January 1817. A road behind the church leads to the house where he was born in 1817.
The historic Abbaye de Bohéries site is located near Esquéhéries. In the wider region around Esquéhéries are the historic Abbaye de Montreuil les Dames site, the Abbaye de Foigny monastery and the historic Abbaye Notre-Dame de Fervaques site.
Events
The theatrical guided tour “Les Veilleurs des Tours” is scheduled to take place in the fortified church of Esquéhéries on 26 September 2026. The Esquéhéries village festival takes place every year around the traditional 14 July celebrations.
