History
The Maquis d'Erloy was formed in the Oise Valley at the beginning of 1944. The Stèle du maquis d'Erloy was inaugurated in 1975 at the site where the Maquisards had gathered on 30 and 31 August 1944.
Every year, a commemorative ceremony takes place on the second Sunday in September near the monument to the Maquis d'Erloy, organized by the Comité du Souvenir du maquis d'Erloy. On 8 September 2024, a commemorative marker belonging to the departmental “Aisne Terre de Mémoire” network was inaugurated at this site.
