Culture
The Église de l’Assomption has a square bell tower with a campanile. The church contains a Pietà from the late 14th or early 15th century, which has been restored in its original polychromy. The stained-glass windows of the Église de l’Assomption were created by Auguste Alleaume between 1930 and 1932.
History
The Four du Vieux Maquère was restored by its residents. Aigné Patrimoine organises events and tours focusing on the history and present day of the village, hemp in Aigné, the church and the hemp ovens – including as part of Heritage Days.
The Four à chanvres du Buisson is the last oven in the region made of clay with an internal wooden structure. The Four des Tursins is a square hemp oven; square ovens are rarer than round ones. The Four de la Fabrice has a stone dome, and its interior offers a very beautiful view.
The Croix de Montaillé is a Christianised league stone marking a Gallic league of approximately 2,222 metres.
Cycling
The Voie Verte de l’Antonnière leads to Aigné. It is 5.6 kilometres long, easy to cycle, and has a stabilised surface. The route is suitable for bicycles away from paved roads.
