The Church of Notre-Dame de Courdemanche preserves part of a Romanesque building from the 12th century. This section is visible on the west gable and the south wall of the nave. Since 4 February 2001, the church has been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. During its extension in the 16th century, a crypt dedicated to Notre-Dame de la Consolation was created.

Those planning their stay in Courdemanche may wish to rent a holiday apartment for this purpose.

Culture

The church also contains the stained-glass window of the Crucifixion. It originally adorned the chapel of the Collège de Courdemanche and was probably commissioned by Jacques de La Mothe in the 1580s. The Fabrique du Carmel du Mans restored the window; in 1881, it was reinstalled in the parish church.

In the vicinity of Courdemanche is the Château de la Flotte, a château. The wider regional area includes the Abbaye de Bonlieu (Sarthe), a historic site, the Ancienne Abbaye de Saint-Calais (disappeared), a monastery, and the Abbaye de la Virginité, also a historic site.

Hiking

The Saint-Fraimbault circular trail is a 16 km-long hiking trail in Courdemanche. The average duration is four hours. The circular trail starts at Place Jacques de la Mothe.
