Saint-Germain-le-Guillaume: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The two main surviving towers of the Ancien site fortifié du Menil-Barré can be dated to the second half of the 14th century based on their stylistic features. Fireplaces, latrines and window seats from the 14th century are still preserved on the third and fourth floors.

Culture

The main building of the Château de la Sicorie can be dated to the end of the 15th or the beginning of the 16th century. The Château de la Sicorie features two figurative stained-glass windows and a heraldic stained-glass window depicting Saint Louis, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary and the French coat of arms.

The historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de Fontaine-Daniel is located near Saint-Germain-le-Guillaume. The Abbaye de Clermont monastery is also nearby. Further afield in the region are the historic site of Église Saint-Martin and the historic site of Château de Mayenne.

Activities

The Plan d’eau du Tertre is used for walking and, among other activities, fishing. A motocross track is located in La Houdairie in Saint-Germain-le-Guillaume. It attracts numerous enthusiasts, particularly during an annual competition that counts towards the standings of the départemental challenge.

The Circuit n°17 La Baronnie hiking trail is 4.4 km long and starts at 1 Rue du Pin in Saint-Germain-le-Guillaume.
