Culture
The church's Romanesque door, which is now closed, is clearly visible from the outside. The church also has a particularly unusual porch and 11th-century buttresses.
Inside, a small 11th-century piscina and two Renaissance fireplaces have been preserved in the choir.
The former northern side altar, with two steps, a tabernacle and a retable, has been listed as a movable historic monument since 21 May 1982.
The château is presumably a fortified house from the feudal period. Parts of the water-filled moat and a tower attached to the wall with loopholes are still visible.
The Pont de la Pierre is an 18th-century bridge that was once heavily used by carts carrying limestone.
A monument erected by the Delangle family in 1906 stands at the Fontaine Saint-Clair. The Fontaine Saint-Clair is reputed to have the ability to cure eye ailments. According to tradition, the Saint-Clair spring has existed since the year 800.
Local life
The weekly market is held every Tuesday morning on the Place de la 29ème division US. The Tuesday market offers galettes, crêpes, tartines, grilled meat, French fries, fish, seafood, cheese and honey.

Saint-Clair-sur-l'Elle is located 5 km from Lison railway station. From there, direct connections are available to Cherbourg, Caen, Paris and Rennes.
