The Church of Saint-Pierre in Fervaches houses a statue of Saint Peter in papal robes dating from the 15th century, which is classified as a French historic monument. Nature

The Grotte du Diable overlooks the Vire valley. Access to the Grotte du Diable has been prohibited since 21 July 2023 for safety reasons by a departmental order.

History

Le Sentier du Duc was used in 1201 by Robert de Trégoz and John Lackland, Duke of Normandy and King of England. The circular route from the Grotte du Diable to Chapelle-sur-Vire lists Le Sentier du Duc as one of its attractions.

The circular route from Fervaches runs along the edge of the Vire; in the 19th century, the Vire was an important transport route. The Grotte du Diable was carved out of the rock around 1850 and served as a refuge for the justice of the peace Amédée Duval-Duperron, the owner of the site.
