Sainte-Croix-Hague: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Culture
The Sainte-Croix Church contains a protected statue of Saint Nicholas as a bishop from the 16th century. It also houses a protected large processional cross made of silver-plated and partly gilded copper with a wooden core; it dates from the 18th century. Sainte-Croix Church also has an onion-shaped bell tower dating from 1734, as well as a nave and choir from the 18th century.
The furnishings also include a commemorative plaque for the foundation of masses for Gillette Dumoucel and a tomb plaque for Estienne Grindel and his nephew. The statuette of Saint James the Elder as a pilgrim dates from the late 15th or early 16th century.
Further evidence of the past can be found outside the church: the Croix Vautier wayside cross is located in the hamlet of Ecoche-Boeuf on the D22 in Sainte-Croix-Hague and dates from the transition between the 16th and 17th centuries. There are archaeological remains of Gallic cultures in Rue d’Ozouville. Le Bacchus was formerly a meeting place for livestock traders during fairs.
