Champcervon looks towards the Manoir de Lerre, an estate with a distinct historical character: it was built towards the end of the 15th century. Four main buildings form a square courtyard. The lower hall of the Manoir de Lerre contains a monumental fireplace. Since December 2016, the Manoir de Lerre has been listed as a historic monument. The estate can be visited outside and in the lower hall of the residential building.
Culture and History
The religious heritage includes the altarpiece “Adoration by the Angels”. It consists of a central painting, two fluted columns, two side niches and a triangular pediment. The central painting depicts two kneeling angels adoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus above a cross and a chalice. The “Adoration by the Angels” ensemble was listed as a protected object in 1973.
Another historical date is associated with the memorial window in Champcervon: it was inaugurated in 1928. In 2023, Le Grippon (Champcervon) was also included in the Pierres en Lumières festival in the La Haye-Pesnel area.
