The Church of Saint-Pierre in Ellon dates from the 12th, 14th and 19th centuries. The church contains the memorial window “Les poilus et l'ange de la Victoire devant le Christ en croix.”

Ellon is also associated with Auguste Fauchon, the founder of the Fauchon brand: he was born in Ellon in 1856.
