Culture and History
The nave and the base of the bell tower of the Eglise Notre-Dame date from the late 11th or early 12th century. The church's older masonry is constructed in opus spicatum, with stones arranged in a herringbone pattern.
The Château du Bosq was restored from 1893 to 1896. During this period, the main building was extensively remodelled and a clock tower was constructed. The Stèle de Charles Le Vacher is a pyramid-shaped funerary monument for Charles Le Vacher and his wife Madeleine Babey.
The grave of Abbé Dubosq commemorates a parish priest who documented scenes of everyday life, the street, the sea and the landscape as a photographer from 1880 to 1930. From 1893 onwards, Abbé Dubosq also published a postcard collection documenting various aspects of the cultural heritage of the Bessin.
The chapel of the Château d'Escures, also known as La Chenevière, was built in 1891 and dedicated to Saint Michael. The Manoir de Commes dates from the 16th century; its tower is a smaller copy of the Tour aux Voleurs in Caen.
The Porche de la Ferme de l'Église is part of a fortified farm that was formerly dependent on the chapter of Bayeux. The tithe barn is located directly opposite.

Mont Castel offers remarkable views of the Aure valley, the artificial harbour of Arromanches and the maritime horizon.

The Tiers-lieu L'Arbre offers cycle tourists overnight accommodation with secure bicycle storage and a basic repair kit. It is located less than two kilometres from the Vélomaritime and the véloroute des Plages du Débarquement au Mont-Saint-Michel.
The Commes bus stop for route 120 is 200 metres from the Tiers-lieu L'Arbre. The accommodation is located near the D6, which connects Bayeux and Port-en-Bessin.
