At the Château de Crèvecœur, the Musée Schlumberger brings together the inventions of brothers Conrad and Marcel Schlumberger.

The “La vie rurale” exhibition in the restored farm building dating from the 15th and 16th centuries explores rural life, agricultural work, rural housing, livestock farming and grain cultivation.

Landscape and Trails

The Chemin au Roy is a walking trail through the countryside around the Château de Crèvecœur, passing plants growing in the damp ditches and trees of the marshland.

Before the national road was built in the 19th century, the Chemin au Roy was the main entrance to the Château de Crèvecœur.

The 45-minute route along the Chemin au Roy passes streams, ponds, plants, an unusual tree, hedges and a Norman farmhouse.

The longer loop along the Chemin au Roy adds a beautiful manor house and an exceptional panoramic view of the Château de Crèvecœur.

“Au détour du château” is an easy circular walk of around 5 kilometres, lasting about an hour and passing the Manoir de l’Epinay.

In spring 2021, two new circular walks starting from the Château de Crèvecœur were offered on the Chemin au Roy: one lasting around 45 minutes and the other around 1 hour 30 minutes.

Getting There

The Château de Crèvecœur can be reached via the A13, exit La Haie Tondue No. 29a, and via the D613, the former RN13.
