The Château de Canchy underwent its main construction phases in the 16th and 17th centuries. The square towers were partially listed as historic structures under a decree dated 2 July 1927. The Église Notre-Dame de la Nativité also shapes the appearance of the village: it has an elongated floor plan with a flat-ended choir and a bell tower located to the northeast. Parts of the church date back to the 13th century.

The circular route “Les cigognes des marais de l’Aure” is an 11-kilometre, moderately difficult trail with a stated duration of three hours. It begins at the Parking de l'Eglise in Canchy and leads from the Château de Canchy into the Aure marshes. Along the way, the trail crosses the Aure via a footbridge and passes over a second bridge in the marshland. The local animal and plant life, including storks, can be observed along the route.

In the immediate vicinity of Canchy lies the Château de Beaumont-le-Richard, a castle. The Église Saint-Nicolas de Villiers-sur-Port and the Abbaye Saint-Vigor de Cerisy are also located nearby; both are historic sites.

Nature

Canchy is one of the municipalities within the administrative perimeter of the ZNIEFF associated with the “Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin” area. Another trail, “De ponts en passerelles”, leads through marshland and draws attention to numerous hydraulic structures. These regulate the water level and make it possible to cross the waterways. The circular route also leads to the Lavoir du Moulin.

In the wider regional surroundings of Canchy are the Château de Balleroy, a castle, and Utah Beach, a beach. Île de Terre and Île du Large are also part of this wider regional area; both are islands. Omaha Beach, a beach, is also located near Canchy.
