History
Permission to build a Protestant temple in Basly was granted on 8 February 1652. The worshippers of the Protestant temple in Basly demolished their church themselves on 23 January 1680. The Ferme-manoir of Basly, dating from the 16th or 17th century, is also part of the historic built heritage.
Nature
Together with Banville, Bény-sur-Mer, Fontaine-Henry and Reviers, Basly belongs to the “Anciennes carrières de la Mue” Natura 2000 site. The “Anciennes carrières de la Mue” Natura 2000 designation is due to the presence of bats.
Walk
The first stage of the Circuit-Découverte Basly is located at Place Bud Hannam, opposite the Église Saint-Georges. The discovery walk through Basly also includes the small Protestant cemetery.
Archaeology
In Basly, a rectangular necropolis is among the remains of a settlement from the early Iron Age. There are also archaeological traces of a Neolithic settlement with palisades.
