Brucourt consists largely of marshlands used for livestock farming and bocage landscapes on the slopes of the first hills of Normandy. Water characterizes the municipality through its numerous springs and marshlands; at the same time, the Dives flows through its territory.

Brucourt is part of the continental type 2 ZNIEFF “Marais de la Dives et ses affluents”.
This area comprises wet meadows, poplar groves and cultivated land crossed by numerous drainage channels. It also has ecological potential for animal and plant species of particular importance for nature conservation.
Brucourt is also part of the continental type 1 ZNIEFF “L’Ancre et ses affluents”. In the ZNIEFF to which Brucourt belongs, “L’Ancre et ses affluents” form a network of waterways approximately 70 kilometres long. The aquatic habitats in “L’Ancre et ses affluents” provide spawning grounds for sea trout (Salmo trutta trutta) and European brook lampreys (Lampetra fluviatilis).

Culture
Construction of Saint-Vigor Church in Brucourt began in the 12th century; it was extended in the 18th century. The church has an unusual orientation: its choir is located in the west. Its furnishings include religious objects originating from churches in northern France that were bombed.
Memorials
The cemetery next to Saint-Vigor Church in Brucourt contains the graves of six English airmen who died on the night of 5–6 June 1944. That same night, the Horsa CN110 military glider crashed in Brucourt. The airmen who died in Brucourt are commemorated every year at D-Day memorial ceremonies.
History
The former Annonciade convent in Brucourt was built at the beginning of the 20th century by a wealthy collector couple. The Annonciade nuns lived in the convent from 1975 to 2015. It was converted into a guesthouse with five suites on a 15-hectare estate preserved in a natural state.
