Culture
The Chapelle Saint-Meuf has been listed as a historic monument since 17 July 1926. It preserves the choir of the former parish church of Saint-Nicolas des Authieux, which was damaged during the Revolutionary period. The chapel’s windows date from the 16th century.
On 10 January 2012, the Manoir de La Porte received heritage protection designations: the room with the historic wallpaper was classified as a historic monument, while the rest of the manor house was listed. The half-timbered building dates from the 18th century and displays an unusually varied half-timbered design, including ear-of-wheat, half-ear-of-wheat, Saint Andrew’s cross and diagonal brace motifs with three or four rows. On the upper floor, the manor house has a room entirely furnished with historic wallpaper; the workmanship is dated to around 1820.
The Église St Pierre dates back to the Romanesque period. It has an altar from the reign of Louis XIV with two fluted Corinthian columns and a straight entablature; a hollow yew tree stands in front of its portal.
The Moulin des Authieux building complex was partially converted into a cheese dairy in 1886; operations at the site ended after 1943.
