Culture and History
Cambligneul is home to the Church of Saint-Kilian, a local heritage site. The church in Cambligneul also houses the painting “Ecce Homo”, which was listed as a protected cultural object on 2 April 1974.
The village also contains traces of a former fortified castle. Cambligneul is also home to a tree of liberty.
Market and Village Life
A food market is held in Cambligneul every Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. The products on offer include fruit and vegetables, butcher’s and sausage products, cheese, and roast chicken.
Sports
The city stadium in Cambligneul is a multisport facility with football, basketball and volleyball on an artificial turf pitch. The street workout area in Cambligneul is an outdoor training area for teenagers and young adults.
Cycling and Hiking Routes
Cycling Route 36, “La Tortille”, is 37 kilometres long, takes around four hours and has a medium difficulty level. It starts at the car park of the community hall in Cambligneul. The “Entre champs et chemins à Cambligneul” route can be ridden by mountain bike and trekking bike.
The “Autour des Quatre Vents à Cambligneul” route is a short hike on good paths, with some sections along lightly trafficked departmental roads and only a slight difference in elevation.
