The Plage des Escardines beach in the municipality of Oye-Plage stretches for approximately 11 km and has remained in its natural state without buildings or infrastructure. From the car park at Plage des Escardines, access to the beach is via a wooden staircase over the dune. The Sentier du Platier d’Oye hiking trail is 5 km long.

Culture
The Saint Médard Church is the oldest evidence of Oye-Plage’s history. Its corner tower was built in 1553 during the reign of the Catholic Queen Mary Tudor. The present-day Saint Médard church building dates from 1863.
